Throughout 2006 it had repeatedly occurred to me that a little whippet girlie would add a certain something to my growing family. I have been friends with Rachel of Lanakeshena Whippets for some time and I like the way she breeds and rears her whippets. I had previously met & fallen in love with her Phoebe, so when we knew that Phoebe was pregnant it proved impossible to resist having one of her daughters!

Niamh (pronounced "neeve") joined us in December 2006 and she hit the ground running! She quickly earned the nickname "Evel K-Niamh-al" and made my heart stop more than once with her puppy antics!

Niamh was another winter pup who took a while to housetrain. She's also convinced that she'll melt in the rain and that she's far too fragile for really cold weather. That wouldn't stop her running about with her sister for fun, mind you!

Niamh is a confident, happy girlie. She is very ladylike but also very able to keep up with anyone and give them what for! She has grown into a stunning whippet and is a real joy to live with. She is another who is devoted to her mum and can usually be found snuggled up next to Daisy on the sofa beside me.
