Cassie is an English Springer Spaniel cross bred by a member of the family and born on 4 April 2001. She has always been Mum's dog although she and I do share a special relationship. She was a typical springer pup - all teeth and licks! - but was so loving with it all was forgiven.

Cassie was 5 in 2006 and she has calmed down a lot. She loves her walks, the wetter and muddier the better, and has retained her loving nature. She's often to be found pottering about in the garden or following Mum around the house.

Oliver was born in July 2002 and lived the first 4 years of his life with me. He came from a rescue at 7 weeks old and was a nightmare to housetrain! He is half whippet with JRT and labrador thrown in, although I used to think he was part mountain goat as nothing was safe! Despite that I fell in love with the little monster and it was Oliver who put me on the path to whippetdom.

Oliver is very loving and is a little shadow with whoever he is with. I love him dearly but he has always been a nervous chap and didn't like all the doggy comings and goings at my house (I often have friends and their dogs to visit). This summer he decided he'd had enough and he packed his bags and moved in with his granny who was delighted! Dad wasn't quite so impressed but Oliver's feelings were so clear that we all had to comply. I was devastated but I had no choice but to let him go. He has blossomed at Mum and Dad's and being 1 of 2 dogs really suits him. He still adores me and is very happy to visit here or have us visit him so long as he can live where he chooses!
